got a deal i couldn't pass up today. drove by an allis on side of road, 7 year old back seat driver asks "can we buy it?" told him on return trip we would stop and look. he starts saying "we are getting a new tractor" i told him only if i had enough in my wallet.(pretty safe bet cuz i didn't have much). well we stopped, sign has phone # and says has a parts tractor too!$50!!!!! !!!!

i jumped out of truck, turned crank to find out if motor was stuck--nope it's not. pretty much ran to house and paid guy for them.

now i need helpfrom you guys as i know nothing about allis tractors(i am a ferguson guy and have a tea 20)

says B on front metal
has narrow front
45" between finals
6v with mag
needs 2 new rear tires and 1 rear rim
motor is free but has not been started in 5 years
has some factory hyd system installed
pto and belt pulley
comes with 2 sets cultivators(like i'll ever figure out how to attach those things!)

second tractor has no rear rims fronts are scrap.
head, rad, carb, gas tank, and muffler were removed, placed in garage with tractor#1, and #2 was left to the elements. will pick up #2 tomorrow. let me know what to look for, as i would like to find out what i have, and if it's worth fixing up.

(best part is tractors were found just 3 miles from my place). for once i get to be lucky!

Dave,

Did you have a mask on when you purchased those AC's? That's the best deal I've read about yet on this site! Good luck with it, and I'm sure you'll get her fired up. Sounds like you have one for parts also. You'll find a wealth of info on this site. The guys on this site are great and know their Allis'!
Have fun!! Steve B.

You thief you!!! Now you need a manual, it will be worth it before you are even half done. Change all oils, incl. final drives. And keep a good bood on the shift lever or it will funel water into the transmission.

serial # is C62432. 1948 model correct?
tractor # 2 has no pto just a stamped steel cover. is that normal?

thanks for the help, and bear with me as i have NO knowledge of AC tractors, only fergusons.

i had to move the tractor today, put my 7 year old on it & attached chain to the fergie. you should have seen the smile on his face!(reminded me of oliver douglas from the opening scenes of green acres)
