Ac 200 ..lost reverse

just wondering if anyone with a 200,ever had this happen,gear shifter goes through the motions for reverse,but nothing there at all,maybe someone can tell where too start,all the fluids are o.k.,just driving across the yard and went to back up and nothin'.

We never have any used reverse forks at our dealership, they are always sold to fix tractors like yours.

There is a set screw in the shifting fork that can come out allowing fork not to move. You could have also broke the shifting fork. On 7000's which are similar to the 200's they had a habit of the pin that holds reverse idler gear would creep back into the rear end housing. If shifter goes through the motions pull floor plate out. Put transmission in second gear and pull shift cover to inspect. When reinstalling make sure reverse gear slot is lined up with slot on second gear.

We had a similar problem with a 190XT, although it was like that when we bought it. Turned out to be a gearshift linkage adjustment for ours. I hope yours is as simple ....
