Skipping B

I was harrowing my field the other day and after about an hour it started skipping under load. the skip was pretty bad. I backed it back down to idle and the skip stopped. I read the other day about bad plugg or wires on this forum. is there any thing I can do to test the wires or pluggs without spending any money chasing ghosts. Thanks in advance mark

IS IT THE #2 CYLINDER THAT SKIPS? FOR SOME ODD ODD REASON ON ALL 4 OF OUR B'S WE OWN, THE #2 CYLINDER FOULS OUT ON EM', I AIN'T GOT A CLUE WHY ITS THE ONLY CYLINDER THAT DOES IT ANYONE ELSE NO WHY??

I think it is the one thet is closest to the transfer case.I can take each of the plug wires off one at a time and that cylinder is the only one that doesn't change the sound of the engine.

That would be #4. Swap plugs and see if that helps - sometimes a single plug will go bad. Check the plug for oil fouling while it's out. You could also simply switch the plug wire for #4 with another one (if you swap two on the tractor make sure the #4 plug is hooked to the same connection on the distributor that it originally was). These two checks will help you figure out if a wire or plug is bad.

Hey Bryan it was the number 4 plug I have it running again like a sewing machine for $1.43 thanks
