No you don`t. With a blade, plow or disc, the down force lifts the rear wheels. Ask any IH fan with a fast hitch converted to 3point. I tryed it, it just dosn`t work very well at all.

a three point hitch is not made to have down pressure. the upper links lift the lower arms with flexible vertical links. these vertical links are not made to "push". if you insist, you will need a cylinder with port on each end. your present cylinder plobably has pressure hose on the back, and nothing, or a vent cap on the front by the rod end. next you will need a two way vavle that you can run your hydraulic pump into, and have a normal straight thru flow back to the tank. the valve will need two ports that direct oil thru two hoses to both ends of your cylinder. this is called a "two way valve" with an open center port (back to sump). you can buy one at Northern Hydraulics, or the local farm store, etc for about $75.00--same thing they use on a log splitter.
