the magnitor has no external voltage source. it works like an old push lawn mower engine were it "generates" its own spark. to stop the motor you short out the magnito to ground. to do this there is a smal threaded terminal on the side of the mag, like a #6 screw sticking out 3/8 inch. this shouldhave a wire that goes to one side of a toggle switch, the other terminal on the switch should be conntected to the tractor frame, or steel engine block. when the switch is "ON" or made up, the voltage spark is shorted to ground and the spark plug gets no spark. Make sure you mark the swithc, "RUN" and "OFF"

I have a B Allis that I purchased an inexpensive horn button for, and placed it on the bracket that goes from the steering column to the frame, and ran a wire to the screw on the mag mentioned by Steve. Push the button to kill engine, release and ready to start. Works good for me.
