I have a very early B model (sn B450) with no serial number on engine block in the usual place. I suspect that it might be a replacement engine that was not serialized. There are no mounting bosses for a generator. Anybody know if early engines were stamped anywhere else?

I have an Allis B tractor and I would like to sell it but I don't have any idea what it is worth. Can you please help me find out how much it is worth.

if it runs but looks bad, it is $600. If it has a starter, and looks half way decent and tires are o.k., maybe $1000. With good tires and paint maybe $1500. Fully restored with auto paint and decals, maybe $2000. some of it depends on where you are located, and who is interested.

On our 1938B the engine number is stamped into the flat area at the rear of the block just above the torque tube and below the head gasket surface. Using your photo as a reference, it is just out of the photo at the upper right facing the rear. It can be seen easier from the right side. I don't have a way to post a pic here but would be glad to E-mail one
