My father pasted a way last year and left me his belongings, which included a Allis Chalmers WD-45 that he was working on at the time and I don't know much about pricing these old tractors but the upper pto gear is shot and needs replaced but the motor is in good shape and runs good and the cost of having it pulled apart and fixed is about 500, but with a pull behind bush hog, disc, 3-point hitch and plow. The paint on the tractor is a little oxidided but nothing that a person could'nt work out of it everything is in good working condition except the PTO gear. Please can some one please give me and idea what it is worth? Please E-Mail me back.

Sounds like about $2,000.oo would be about rite, with the implements...maybe a little more for good condition..... The worth of these will surely rise, as the majority left are completely worn out... A GOOD original is worth Double, in MY Book..!!! At 5,500 lbs pulling power, they are a real good tractor...!!! They easily pull more than they weigh..!!!

Ron,

Please read my 4-28 post to get a little better understanding of what I am about to say.

What makes you an expert on tractor values? Are you an appraisor? Auctioneer? Something simialr?

A WD45 with a shot pto would be very lucky to bring $1000 in these parts...even with a wide front! Just because YOU think the tractor is worth $2000 or more does'nt make it so. WD 45's are not at all rare...just good tractors. Pricing suggestions like yours are making it hard for farmers to afford parts to keep thier machines running. And most farmers could give a damn how much thier tractors can pull at the tractor pulls!

WELL..... .For YOUR information, I DON'T "Pull"--Anything...AND I DO Farm with these, and IF you look at what I said, you will agree with what I said about a GOOD ORIGINAL being worth more than any re-built one..... AND I do NOT intend to read your post....If you have a Burr under your saddle, that is YOUR Problem.....
