I'm going to pick your brains again: A WD45 and a 170 have a 226ci.motor is the 170 a 12 volt or 6 volt? if it's a 12 volt,could I use
ignition parts [points, condenser] in a WD45? I would like to change to 12 volt on my WD45 without using a voltage reducer for ignition DAVE

the points and cond. are probably the same on both,if you don't want the external resistor get a 12v coil that has an internal resistor, it works good, you can get one at about any local auto parts house. good luck david l. wilson
