I have a 7060 #5300 and would like to know the difference in the motor in it and the motor in the D-21 S2 with the 3500 series engine. Are they as reliable? Thank you CBL

Also the black belly 7060 had more oil gallies for piston cooling. The head had some changes to accept the inner cooler in the water jacket/thermostat housing. The 7060 also used a different style ring on the pistons. But I have seen a 7040 engine put in a 220 without a problem, and know of a 7040 that has all to works of a 7060 on that 426 block. Most parts are interchangable.

John-- Do you mean the black belly 7060 is different than the red belly 7060 like mine, or the D21? Thanks for the reply, CBL

The biggest differance is the 426 block in the 7060 has more or heavier webbing in the block.
