I have a WD and found a guy who has some sheet metal parts from a WC. He says that they are the same as far as the hood, grill gas tank and fenders. I don't know anything about a WC. does anyone know if this is true.

Everything that you mentioned will fit on your WD except the fenders. The WC fenders are different from the WD.

If I am wrong on this please correct me, but I do believe the fenders are the same, but they have the mounting bracket removed so they sit lower on the tractor. I had an extra pair lying around my shop from a WD that I have been working on welding patches in for a styled WC I am going to restore for a guy this summer. I removed the bracket and they are identical to the ones used on the WC's. Just my .02 cents worth. Adam Davis

Could be you have a hybrid tractor. Newer style gas tank, hood, and grill and older style round (half of a circle) fenders instead of the newer style clamshell fenders that flow over the back wheels. Just a thought! Older style WC's had Flat radiators and hood and a flat gas tank with the half of a circle fenders, and newer ones had bullet shaped gas tanks and rounded hood and grill, with clamshell fenders. I think the change was somewhere around 1940. Adam Davis

My 1937 WC has the flat fenders.
My 1940 WC has clamshell fenders.
My two 1941 WC's have the clamshell fenders.
My 1943 WC has clamshell fenders.
My 1947 WC has clamshell fenders.
My 1951 WD has clamshell fenders.

I am sorry. My mistake. I don't know what I was thinking. The WD fenders are the same as the WC. My 1940 WC is a hybrid of the styled and the unstyled.

It was just a guess! Out of curiosity are your WC's restored or original? I know where a styled WC is, but I haven't gotten up the nerve or time to ask the owner about it. It looks as though it hasn't been moved in years! I have a 52 WD that I restored and would like to own a WC to go along with it. Well take care. Adam Davis

They are all original. The '37 and '47 run now and I have plans for the others.
