I'm thinking of repainting my AC and would like to know if the decals are available anywhere before I start. Model 6140 made in 1984.

Bob, I like the tractor just fine. It has plenty of power and runs well. I think you'll find that the parts are sometimes hard to find, depending on what you need. Mostly they are just expensive when if bought through AIGCO. Make friends with a machinest if you don't do that kind of thing for yourself. They only made these tractors the last few years they were in business, or should I say the Japanese made them for ALLIS, and there aren't too many around. So there are not alot of spare parts lying around on the shelf and the after market people never made stuff for them as they didn't have much of a chance to catch on. All that said, I really like the tractor and hope you like yours as well. When you start your clutch get with a good mechanic that can get parts other than through AIGCO. They really are outrageous.

From the time I was a young boy growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, I would spend a considerable amount of time helping my father repair or rebuild equipment and engines, etc. on our 2 1/2 acre "spread". Pop always dreamed of having more acreage out in the country where he could retire and tinker as much as he wanted and often reminisced about his boyhood days on his grandfathers farm in Montecello, ...
