Live PTO or not?

It is live but not independent. A live pto is one that can still run when forward or rearward motion of the tractor is stopped via a clutch. An independent pto is one with its own clutch between it and the engine, so it can be started and stopped independent of the tractor's foot clutch.

Not. The hand clutch stops the tractor with a clutch in the right axle. The tractor stops and the pto still turns but you cant shift gears with it. I mow with a woods 72" deck on my CA with no problem.

Not..... ..However, like the hand clutch on the WD & WD-45, it's the closest you'll ever come without it actually being a totally "live" P.T.O.
