Please give me some pointers on why my AC WD will start great but once it warms up it misses and then dies. You can keep it going if you fully choke it but you really have to play with it. After it is off gas runs out the port where the air cleaner pipe goes. Any info on this problem is most appreciated! Thanks for your time! -Bryan

My WD acted similar to yours. I rebuilt the carburetor and adjusted it several times. It would require the choke to be pulled out to run also. Out of desperation, I finally replaced the points and condensor and it has run great ever since. My $0.02..James

my B does the same thing. all the way down to gas running out the air cleaner when it dies. I have checked every wire and the mag but it still cut's off. I've finally fixed it. Try this. When it starts skipping you probably start seeing a light black smoke comming out the muffler. turn off the fuel valve. Mine started running propperly almost instantly. So I unstuck the stuck float in the carb. Hope this helps and it doesn't cost any money.

I think its probably your points.....

I went through this with my wd-45 got tired of messing with the points and went and got a electronic ignition for it...around 80$ and cleared up my ignition problems.....heck I probably saved $80 in Tylenol....lol

good luck

I know this sounds off the subject, BUT..!!!

Always be SURE there is NO water in the sediment bowl... Ours will miss if there is even one drop of water in it, if we are working them hard.... I guess the water gets pulled up on the screen, or something..... Anyway, you should be sure , this has helped me many times... Ofcourse, a weak coil or Condenser can cause a miss, too...even carbon tracking in the dist. cap, bad wires, or bad plugs...even water in the float bowl, too....

I'm not an expert on AC's by any means, as all I own are IH or Case. I just like old tractors-don't care what color they are, so here's something you might want to check. We have an H that did the same thing-finally after going through everything like you did we found that the intake manifold was loose, but you couldn't tell when it was cold. When it warmed up, it warped away from the head. This let too much air in and it'd miss & eventually quit. (Found the leak by spraying WD-40 around the intake while running-would quit missing as long as you sprayed near the intake-BE CAREFUL-WD-40 uses LP gas as propellant.) Plained the manifold & put in a new gasket & WHALLA no more problems. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
