STUCK HYDRAULIC LIFT RAMS on WD-45

I tryed unscrewing the front screw on the pump but the Rams are still stuck in the up postion. How would I go about freeing up a stuck Vavle or bleeding the pump lines. I tryed readjusting all the screws on the pump and the rams just will not move.

Like Jamie said, could be a stuck valve in the pump.

It could also be the traction boost control playing havoc if the linkage is out of adjustment or missing and/or adjustment screw "A" is not locking the plate to the pump body.

When I bleed off the shocks the rams lower but when I raise them they get stuck again, also iF I leave the shock line open so that some fluid can escape the rams will lower and raise like they should do, but with the pressure put to the lines they will not lower.

You mention a "shock line". I'm not familiar with the term. Has someone added extra valves or controls to the original system?

The rams are suppose to drain back through the pump. Sounds like your lift will raise and stop anywhere at your command (rather than raising on its own all the way to the top any time the engine clutch is released no matter where the lift control is set), but just won't drop when you move the control back to the lower position.

If that is the case, sounds like you have a clogged drain line. You may be able to blow it clear by picking up something really heavy (say a 5X5 round bale of hay) and dropping it. If that doesn't work (besides having a very heavy bale of hay stuck in the air which you'll have to get off somehow, so maybe that's not the greatest idea I've ever had) you'll have to tear into the pump and clean the passages by hand.

Try disconecting the lines at the lift cylinder to see if that brings them down. Do with extreme caution and be out of the way. Fluid in lines are under pressure be careful and take your time. If this brings the rams down than the rams are not stuck and problem is in the hydralic pump. I had problem with my WD with the loader (rear lift rams disconnected) would rise but not go down. Ended up being the valve assembly in pump was stuck in the lift position.
