I dont think my governor is operating the tractor still runs just not like it use to???

any thoughts on rebuilding a governor(SP?)

Please help

Try cleaning out the air cleaner. You will be surpised at how much dirt that you can get out of it if you take it a part and pressure wash it out and re-oil. The tractor will run better.

Ive replaced and rebuilt most evrything except the motor

Electronic Ignition
switched to 12v
new plugs new coil
new wires
new Cap and rotor
new battery rebuilt Carb..... ..... ..? Im a little concerned about this
Im just wondering if I need to clean out the governor the oil when I changed it was real gunky
or if my manifold need replaced

Craig, First of all, if you have a book, check the governor and throttle linkage settings. If these are correct, the flyweights and pins on the governor assembly are probably worn. I have repaired our D17IV and on one of our '45's and they now respond and operate correctly. The weights and pins are available from Agco and are not to expensive. Tom
