when i restored my B, it did not have a thermostat. It would run at 120 degrees. I decided to install a 180 degree thermostat. It now runs 130 steady. Problem is i run about 2/3 throttle with a blade doing light duty work. Dont really load it up. It would be best to run the tractor at 180 degrees to keep the condensate boiled off of the oil, but most of these old tractors never get that hot anyway.
