The hand clutch on my tractor on the low side when you pull it back will kick back out. Well now it wont even stay in. I need infromation on how to tear it down and fix it if anyone can help.

The tractor needs to be split in order to replace the discs on the hand clutch. If memory serves me correct, there are shims that can be used to adjust the clutch- maybe that's all it needs. You can drain the oil and remove the cover on the right side and check the adjustment. Move the operating lever into low range and you will see which clutch pack is engaged. If you split the tractor, buy, rent, or build an adequate splitting frame to support the tractor. If wide front, wedge blocks between the front cast housing and axle frame so the front stays upright.
