I'm old disabled powerplant worker just learning about tractors. I need some info. My son-in-law is looking at an A-C D-19 gasoline powered tractor. We have some pretty good hills here - how hard is it to convert a tricycle front end to a regular wide and how available are the parts? Thanks!

Bud,

IMHO, unless you are getting a great deal on the 19, I'd wait and get one with a wide front. There are alot of these old beasts around and think that a wide front should be pretty easy to find. How much are they wanting for the 19?

By the way, what are you going to use the tractor for? It doesn't sound like you have alot of experience with these size tractors with gas engines, but they tend to be a little "thirsty".

I have seen several 180's, 185's and 190 diesels lately that seem to be fair priced. You might want to re-consider.
