Was trying to adjust the hood tension on a D10 and broke the end off of the bolt that the hood latch hooks onto. Anybody got any idea where I might find another one of these. Its a threaded bolt and the top curls over and the hood latch hooks onto this,.

I'm not familiar with what a hood tension bolt on a D-10 looks like, but the way your explaining it, would a universal battery hold down rod work? These come in a couple different thread sizes, (5/16" 3/8")and have a "candycane" hook on one end. You could probably cut it down to the size you need if it's to long. Also, earlier Ford pickups used a "J" hook battery hold down that's pretty tight at the hook side that's 1/4 x20 if you need the hook to be tighter. You can get them at an auto parts store. Just an thought.....

Today's Featured Article - Sunday Drives - by Cowboy. Summer was finally upon us here in Northern Maine. We have two types of industry up here, one being "Forestry" (Wood Products) and the other "Farming" (Potatoes). There is no shortage of farm tractors and equipment around here! I have been restoring old Farm Tractors for the past 6 years, and have found it easier and less expensive to hit all the auctions and purchase whole tractors for parts needed. My wife who works at a local school, and only has weekends and summers off, while on t ... [Read Article]
