I would like to know a little bit about AC HD3 bulldozer. Is it reliable, any problems I should be aware of. Are parts still available for it. I have 5 acres, 4 of which is open fields. I have built a hous on it, and I need to do some landscaping. Their are goffer holes, rocks, ruts etc. There are two on ebay, diesel, about $4k right now. They seem to be fair condition. What are they worth. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tony

The HD3's were a tough dependable little crawler. The diesel ones will have the normal peculiaritys of the early Allis diesels, it would be the same engine as a D15 . the transmission would also be the same as a D15 so if it was abused it may jump out of gear (2nd & 3rd were the most common problems). If it has been operated properly and properly maintained it should serve you well.
