PTO shaft for C

I would like to replace the PTO shaft in my C with a larger diameter and the notch for quick connect implements. I have used the adapters but they seem to break rather quickly. Any Ideas?

Just a thought, but, What about one of those PTO overrun coupler/clutch. You should be able to get on that is 1 1/8 to 1 3/8. You would need one anyway when driving a brush hog or similar implement.

I had considered an overrunning clutch, and you are right I will need one, but the PTO shaft in my tractor seems to have been drilled in the wrong spot for most implements and connectors I have found. I could drill another hole but was afraid that would weaken the shaft too much.
