I was talking to a guy at work today and he was saying that in the mid fifties, AC built a self propel combine. Not a Gleaner mind you but an Allis Chalmers model. I grew up about four blocks from an AC dealer in Missouri and I'm pretty sure that if they would have marketed anything like that in this part of the country, I would eventually see one come in. Was there such an animal?HJ

Yes, they made a Model 100 in the later 50s- same basic design as the 66, with a side discharge, powered by the WD45 engine. Still see some at threshing shows.

Thanks for your time, now that you said it, I do recall him calling it a model 100 and said it was powered by the 45s engine. He also mentioned that there was an earlier version powered by a WD motor. Thanks again.HJ
