WD Block

I've concluded that the block for my WD is cracked at the webs between the cylinders at the bottom of the sleeves. I need a good block. Any help finding one is appreciated.

Probably Most WD blocks are cracked, at the bottom webs...!! There has been a lot of discussion here about how to drill and pin the block to repair it.. I had mine resistance-welded at Columbus Col-weld...Columbus, Ohio... I am sure other places do it...THEN, it will not crack, again.. I think it is caused by stalling a HOT engine. the webs are very narrow, and the heat of the piston causes the sleeve to swell, and crack the block... I re-built BOTH of ours, and BOTH were cracked...had them pinned & welded, and they Never gave me any problem.... When re-building..put enough Aircraft Gasket Sealer around the sleeve bottoms to coat the bottom of the block...Seals, and prevents any future leaks.. A NEW block may not be any better than the one you have..

Ron,
How spendy is it to have them pinned and welded? I am afraid I'm going to find the same cracks in my block when I tear down the engine.
