I finally tore into the tri-cycle pedestal today on my C. The lower bearing and both upper/lower seals are both shot. Does anyone know of replacement part numbers or suppliers for these?

I can't get the bearing off the shaft and I fear that by the time I do, it isn't going to be recognizable for a bearing dealer to cross reference! Needless to say, the lower seal is in the way of my bearing removal efforts and is also starting to show it (it probably won't be recognizable much longer).

What about the upper seal? (that looks like a bugger to replace!!) Is that seal available? Any tips on replacing it?

The cross shaft looks good and the bushing are in pretty good shape. I'm contemplating just replacing the seal. Any one know of part numbers for it or suppliers to check with?

Hi,

I was able to get the seals at the local Agco dealer, the cross-shaft seal is just felt I believe, was not very hard to get apart, but I don't remember just how we took it apart.

My lower bearing pulled off easily, just pulled it off by hand. My casting was really trashed at the top, I had a local guy put a big bushing in to take up the play.

good luck,
mark
