When you find #1 TDC Compression.....no matter which post the button is pointing at is going to be #1 on the cap---you see, the Distributor may not be installed in the original position, and THAT does not matter... Then install the rest of the plug wires in order, in the cap...

Couldn't i rotate it till it lines up with the 1 marked #1?? Or just remark them in the order duey gave me??

Ideally everything could be perfect--BUT..!!!

It may mean taking the distrbutor out, and re-setting it's position---a good chance you will have trouble getting it ALL fouled up...!!! Just find the one that is pointed at, when you find #1 TDC, and use it as #1..... No use making it harder than it has to be..!!
