I have a gas 180 that I put new plug wires, plugs, points and condenser and distributor cap. Put carb. kit in and new gas filter. Starts but as soon as I put it in gear and take of it pops and sputters and dies.

Some things to check would be the fireing order, to make sure the wires are on the right plugs, is a wire going to ground in the dist, is the wires tight at all off the conections, is the coil wire seated in cap & coil good, there was point sets made with two straps & a slot to slide over the bolt where the condenser bolts on, if any part of this gets to ground and arks fire it will cause a problem

hope this helps good luck
