During some discussion on an email list I became aware that a lot of the younger newer guys had never seen an Allis Chalmers hitch ball as used in the late 40's and 1950's. I was not aware that they had disappeared from sight. Many of those Allis implements were converted to a simple pin hitch by farmers. When I show my C this year I will install one of those balls on the drawbar for looks. I have 3 Roto Balers and all 3 still have the ball hitch. I shot a picture of one of those balls and unless I screwed up the link you can see it here.

I have one on my PTO driven rake of some unknown model, but it really is a pain to switch on the drawbar to use any other pull behind implements.
