I'd like to buy both but I don't think I could get away with it and still keep my wife. I have about 7 acres, probably 2 or 3 that I will till. Here are the choices: pre 1938 (unstiled) Allis WC with nice loader, snow bucket, grader blade, winch, arial bucket, etc. in pretty good shape for $1000; 1941 Farmall B in original unrestored condition, wheel weights, pto, belt pulley, original owners manual, etc. for $850. Would just like some input about how you might decide between these two tractors. Both are owned by the same person and seem to have had very good care. Thank you.

The WC is a good rugged tractor but like all machines it has it's draw backs..(farmall also has drawbacks) the WC has hand brakes (they don't hold very good going backward) and it takes 3 men to steer a WC....I have worked them a lot of hours

I'd go with the Allis because of what comes with it. Also, it is a bigger tractor and will easily outpull and hold back more than the B. The drawback is that the WC has hand brakes. Get lots of practice before you take it on any hills, trailers, roads, banks, etc, etc.

With all the WC comes with--no contest get it. It is a very good tractor, and a clasic. Not that the farmall is bad, it isn't, but the AC is a better deal and in my opinion a better tractor.

The unstyled WC will have more value down the road than the Farmall. Unstyled tractors are always worth more.

Don't go with an allis. Farmall are the best. So don't make a mistake an buy a allis, buy the farmall and get the best!!!!! !!!!! !!!!! !!!

Farmall Lover, I like Farmalls too. I like most any old tractor. Farmalls were quite popular, but not because they were the best. A lot of the time they were the cheapest. A comparable Allis beats out the Farmall every day of the week.
