This fall my D14 started turning over very slowly when started for the first time each day. At first wasn't to much of a problem, but has gotten worse. I thought my battery was going down. Today I replaced the battery, but no change. Still wants to turn real slow when first starting. After it gets started for the first time runs great and starts good the rest of the day. Any thoughts or input would be helpful.

Thanks in advance

i would remove all the battery cables to starter and battery and clean the ends. if any wires bulged or corroded, replace them. you could chekc the voltage at the starter when cranking, if you have a volt meter. common to have loss of voltage due to bad cables on these old tractors.

If cables don't help take your starter to someone who rebuilds them and have it checked. It could be bad or just need brushes. I've seen that a lot.
