I want to change the electrical system on my CA from positive ground to negative ground. What do I need to do?

I assume the goal is to convert to 12 volt? The starter does not know the difference in which terminal is grounded, just switch the battery cables and you are o.k. The starter dont care if its 6 or 12 volts either, just spins a little faster. If you go from 6 to 12 volts, you need to change the coil for the distributor, or add the inline dropping resistor to your 6 volt coil- Talk to the guy at NAPA. Of course you need new light bulbs. It pretty easy. If you are installing an alternator, tell us if you need help wiring. If you are sticking with a generator, things change in the type of regulator if you go to 12 volt.

You also want the "-" terminal of the coil towards the distributor on a "-" ground system.
