C-Allis Chalmers Pto doesn't work

I have a C-Allis Chalmers that the pto does not work on. It ran fine for a long time and then it just quit. I can turn the belt pulley by hand, but it does not run when engaged. The lever to engage it feels normal and is not slipping on the shaft. Could someone point me in the right direction to cure this problem, and give me a guesstament on the cost to fix it myself? This is a mowing tractor and any help would be apprieciated.

It can't cost that much to fix, if you do it yourself. You can buy used PTO/hydro units at salvage yards for about $150.00. So if your willing to do the work yourself, wouldn't be much more than that, if you had to replace the whole thing.
