Starter switches on allis B

Where any B allis equiped with a starter switch that was not mounted on the starter? If so where did they place the switch?

Earlier models had a foot rod running under the battery box that connected to the starter switch on the starter - press it with your foot to start it. Later models - with a "crease" in the underside of the gas tank - had a pull starter rod like found on the C, CA and so forth. Both still had the switch on the starter, though. No idea what the first 97 B's had.

My 39 has the starter switch up front.
Just give it a few spins and it starts.
LOL! :0P

I mounted a black push button on the light box between the present switches and below the ampmeter. I put a solenoid below the gas tank inside the cover to hide it. No key, just push the black button.
