Throttle Rod

I am restoring a G model and the book shows a hole in the rod with a cotter pin. Mine does not have a hole. I guess the cotter pin is a throttle stop. I can drill a hole if I knew where it should be. Can anyone give me a measurement from the end of the rod to the hole? Thanks Ralph

I have the hole for the spring. As I said the book shows a hole with a cotter pin through it where the rod goes through the bracket that fastens to the manifold bolt. I have no hole in the rod at that point. Ralph
