Allis Model B Frozen Cracked Block

My brother borrowed the family Model B a few months ago, & left straight water in it ago which froze & cracked something internal. Does anyone know of any common places inside the B engines which are prone to cracking due to freezing?

Most of these small engines have cracks in the block top face between the cylinders, front to back. This is from years of operation. If you have water in the oil, it probably cracked at the bottom of the block were the o-rings seal the liners to the block. Around the liner is water, and under it is oil pan. You can remove the oil pan and inspect inside block with light with a little air pressure on the radiator if needed. Look up above crankshaft between the liners. Possible head gasket also. You will see this as excess pressure in the radiator while running. Can also notice sparkplugs very clean if head gasket is blown into 1 cylinder.

If the block is not externally cracked and you have no oil in the water or water in the oil everything should be ok, hopefully!
If the engine will run look in the radiator and see if bubbles are present. If so compression is leaking into the waterjacket somewhere.
Also while the engine is running notice how much "blow-by" is coming out the oil fill spout/breather.
If a lot the crack is in this side of the engine.
