I want a little more mmmffff from the B I just bought. I can buy a very good CA motor for $200. Will it match? Will the HP increase be significant? Thanks

Your B won't know the difference. If you have a B that has the old 3 1/4" pistons or the one you have is low on compression, and the CA engine is in top condition, you will see a big difference.
If your B is in top condition with the 3 3/8 pistons, it will be hard to tell the difference.
The Increased HP mainly comes from setting of the RPM's a little higher. The bolts all line up and it will bolt in without any alterations.

Dick's right - the B with the 125 ci engine tested at 22.25 hp at 1500 rpm on gas, while the CA tested at 25.96 at 1650 rpm on gas. Not much difference - almost 4 hp. But, as he says, if you have the early 116 ci engine or a low compression one meant to run on distillate you will notice a power improvement.

$200. is a good p[rice for a good engine, if complete. Might want to buy just on speculation, resale or to keep for a rainy day.
