what is that piece of flat plate secured by 2 screws on the manifold on an allis B? does it go into the intake or what? should it be sealed up? Jay Bernard

The plate on the manifold is for heating the manifold. There is a different plate to use for kerosene which needs a hotter manifold than gasoline does. hope this helps, Brian.

Take a look at the drawing. It is a data plate only. This has been taken off on many of them and replacements was not manufactured to put this plate on.
