Hi, I just purchased an Allis "C" today. At least I was told it was a "C". However it has a pan-type seat with no back. It also has a wide front-end. Is this standard for a "C"? It has 24" rear rims. Where is the i.d. number found? Is there a way to mount a three-point scaper blade on the back to move some snow and dirt? It really is a neat little tractor and it runs good. Paid $700 for it. Is that about right? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Tom

Look here for the serial number.
Pan type seats were aftermarket and wide fronts were optional.
You can buy bolt on aftermarket 3 points

chekc the transmission where Dick suggests. Is it a 4 speed or 3. the C is a 3, CA is a 4 speed and it has a pan seat. You did good at $700. thats a real nice price for a running tractor with a wide front. Look on the internet at "worksaver" if you want to buy a 3 point hitch, but they cost about $450. You can build one yourself if you are handy with torch and welder. Look at the aftermarket units to get ideas.

Thanks guys! I have checked the number and found out that it is a 1951 "CA" I will do some checking into converting it to 3 pt. It is a sweet runner, needing only 1 rear tire to make it right. It has great sheet metal. I'm happy!!!
