I have a 39 B,hand crank that starts good cold. After the engine warms up it won't start. Could the problem be in the magneto ?

We have the same problem with our 38 model. But if we shut the fuel off and let it run long enough to walk around to the right side to ground the mag it will easily start again warm or hot. Probably not the mag if it runs OK until you shut it off.

It could very well be, from experience I had many years ago with a C and a WC. Both acted the same way... when hot they would not start, unless we pulled them a few feet and they popped right off. On each one the mag was rebuilt and they started normally after that.
