B radiator color

Overhauling a '53 IB tractor. Have radiator wraparound and radiator off. Ready to spray paint front of engine , etc. Problem is the radiator is black. Ever seen a production balck or was this changed. If black, it would have to be assembled after painting eveerything else orange??

Black exchanges heat better than other colors, so most if not all were painted black I would guess. You could also bet there was some orange overspray on it if the cowl and hood were painted on the tractor (which may or may not have been the case).
