I have a two ten AC I've never really done any field work with it until last week .I disked about 25 acres,four inches deep ,total about two thirds of a day,I only have a nine foot disk so it doesnt work too hard.I burned around thirty gallons of fuel,that seems like alot to me.what do the "orange" folks think? ps.engine is new,less than 500 hrs,did it myself.

First of all, why aren't you useing the available HP of the 210? You should be pulling a 21' disk apx. A 9' disk is what a WD would pull. Put the Beast to work and you won't notice the fuel consumption.

John: this is the first BIG tractor I've owned.I havent had an oportunity to buy any big equipment yet. theres an auction coming up next week with a 22 foot manual fold disk,gonna try for it

sounds like about 5 gallons an hour of fuel use ,thats not too bad.

I used to farm with a D-21 as my main power tractor, I would hook 12ft disk 10ft cc 10 ft heavy harrows working plowed heavy western ore soil . She would burn 7-8 gal hr.. BUTTTT she dynoed 140 HP. Tony

We also ran a D21 for a number of years. We found if you were pulling a less than full load it was better on fuel if went up a gear and throttled back . It doesn't hurt to run them at less than full throttle in fact they will probably last longer.

Just check how much fuel your pump is putting out. It should be around 100cc's from the factory. Also make sure the turbo is good so that you are getting enough air mixed with the fuel for proper combustion. Also check the injectors to make sure that they are clean, and have the proper pressure settings. This will make a huge difference in the starting ability of the tractor.

thanks Guys,I dont feel soo bad now. This is the first big tractor I've had. until now the 560 farmall was our big tractor,60 hp.anyway thanks for replies
