Today I bought a D-10 Sries III, serial number 9458 which apparently makes it a late 1965. Had been sitting for about a year but started right up, doesn't smoke, throwout bearing a little cranky, good rear tires and wheels with the power adjustment, looks like straight 4-spd only (no high range), basically a straight and fairly complete tractor. Has operating 3 pt. and operating remotes, wheel weights, biggest need at this point is a decent seat. Does anyone know where I might find a reproduction aftermarket seat or a NOS original? What about a steeringwheel (white)? Also, are grills available, also the grill frame? Is the grill frame interchangeable with any other models? Lots of questions I know but this purchase today makes me a first time A-C owner; previous experience has been with JD, Farmall and Ford. And anA-C 2 btm. 3pt. plow in excellent condition and a 3 pt. cultivator were part of the deal, all for $350.00. I think I "done good;" what do you guys think?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Brian-
No-I meant $350.00. The guy selling it is into BMW motorcycles and neither knows nor cares about tractors. We all walked away happy but deep down, I think I probably happier. It's about 40 miles away ans will pick it up Saturday, take stock of it a little more closesly and then call Larry Karg next week.
I'll keep everyone in the loop as things progress.

Dave,
We can help you with an absolutely original seat and we also have reproduction grills for your D-10 Series III. As far as the steering wheel is concerned we sometimes grind ours out and patch with JB Weld and repaint. I prefer you call for information by phone. My number is 320-587-3771 evenings after 6 cst.

I would not part with my D-12 for ten times that amount.

New seat cushions can be bought at Central Tractor phone 1-888-828-3276. Ask them to send you a free catalog. They have tons of other parts also. The steering wheel you can buy a kit to fix the cracks at www.por15.com or get the wheel off of an old Gleaner E combine and paint it creme. They are the same style but protected by being in a cab. The D12 used the same grill but they are just as hard to find. You may have to straighten out your old one or make one .
