Guys, what kind of paint is used to coat inside of various housings where oil lives? I would like to paint my G clutch housing, as the place I got it from sandblasted the old paint off. Thanks Eric

The paint is called GLYPTOL. I work for a power company and we use it to repair chipped insulator glass and we also paint it on flanges before placing a gasket where there will be insulator oil.
A friend put it inside his modified jeep motor because it lets the oil move around better. It leaves a sort of plastic coating. Great stuff.
Try an electrical supply place. Possibly wholesale.

In a factory where I worked before retireing we
painted all oil cavities with GLIPTAL. Not sure if spelled correctly. Be careful it is almost impossible to remove from unwanted areas

You got the right stuff. GLYPTAL. It's made by GE for use in electric motors and gearboxes. It's really good and permanent. Try an electric motor repair shop in your area. If they don't have it they will probably have something similar.

As much as I hate to recommend them, I believe the Eastwood Company sells Glyptal. Everyone raves about them but I got bit by their so-called spot welder and header paint. Last time I ordered from them the lady was kinda nasty, too. Their flanging pliers are great, though.
