It seems my response to the "Bin Laden" question on the other Forum has seriously offended at least one person. I started out by using the "you guys just have a lynch mob mentality" thing AS A JOKE about the people on there who always stand up for the Ogdens' and Collins' of the world. (And even the groundhogs, for God's sake!)

I'm just as angry and scared and out for revenge as the next guy, and I'm sorry if the comment was out of line. Please try to understand! thanks, RC

I am the one who contacted Rob. I compliment him for responding with understanding. I have a great sense of humor. I also have a sister who works at the Pentagon and recently buried two neighbors who came home from the Pentagon in pieces that would fit into a shoebox. Maybe we can choose not to be grim and angry but it's hard to be light-hearted with the smell of death so far up our nose; that's something about which we had no choice. Be glad that most of you live far enough away from the three Ground Zero sites that you can play keyboard commando from your La-Z-Boy and crack wise. Around here, we can't find much to laugh about.

If anyone thinks they can go thru life without offending, anyone they are sadly mistaken. Jesus Christ was God and he couldn't do it, in fact, he was murdered for it, so there's really no chance for a human to make it. Free speech is just that. If someone doesn't like it, they can respond too. I wouldn't worry to much about what others feel, after all, they don't care about yours when THEY complain.

Some forums seem to be populated with folks who have no sense of humor. Others, like the Tales forum, require a public service announcement before making a serious comment.

I prefer the Tales response to life. After all, "there is no evidence in this world to indicate that life is serious." We know there are serious decisions that need to be made while we spend a brief moment consuming air, but I like the attitude that takes things a little on the lighter side.

Others are cruel and call people names, like "paranoid."

I want to go on record that I AM NOT PARANOID. I happen to like the lighting and cozy attmosphere that I find under my bed and as long as I have my computer keyboard, cookies & milk and fuzzy blanket, why should I come out?

Don't take most of what you hear, too seriously.

I once heard a statement: "Life is too serious to be taken too seriously".

Rob, don't sweat it; some people don't have a sense of humor. I still say that bin Laden is no better than a common varmint and should be taken care of in an appropriate manner.

If they catch old AssSodomy Bin Ladin they should turn him loose here in West Virginia. After all It's not quite deer season, and I'm Getting kinda bored. Besides I'd imagine alot of other mountaineers who would like to beat the brush after something new this fall Later Greg H.
