Hi there,
I just bought an Allis G that I'm restoring now.
It is a french build tractor an the model is GV. It is a very narrow tractor ( about 1 meter wide)
the plate says fabrique en France par Allis Chalmers Paris, serial number is 1362 and the continental engine has casting date 4-7-52.
Is there anyone who knows something about the french tractor. Further would I like to know if the front wheels on an G model are completely orange or should the rims be silver?

Thanks in advance.

The US tractors can be made wider by reveresing the wheels and rims. Several different combinations can be made up for different track widths. Maybe the French ones are the same?

Hello,
We have both the American and the French version.

The French tractor is narrow and uses all electrical parts from Paris-Rhone and the carburetor is a Zenith. The radiator is french build as is the aircleaner. In the gearbox is casted in:"Niveau de Huile"instead of Oil level.
The batterybox is placed between the both chassis pipes just in front of the driver. A little instrument panel is placed right in front of the driver. Steering gear is french build.

Hope this gives some information.
Thanks for the wheel colors
