I'm working on my "B" engine and, not wanting to spend any more than necessary, would like to locate the following used parts in good serviceable condition...(1) cyl. sleve 2 3/8, (3) valve lifters, lower half of no. 1 main bearing (thrust bearing), (2) rod bearings .010 under.

Will; Do yourself a favor and don't even think about using used rod or main bearings from another engine. These bearing are made in matched pairs and using a mismatched pair is asking for a spun bearing and a trashed crank. A good used sleeve can be used with new o-rings, but, make absolutely sure its not out of round or it will leak water into crank case. Valve lifters I replace in sets, but if you can find some in very good shape you could use them. Check the Ag., salvage dealers in you're area, they should have these parts. But, I would opt for new bearings and shims, also check you're crank shaft for scratches, nicks,or any other imperfections any found should be polished out before installing bearings. Short cutting internal engine assemblies is'nt a good idea, it will likely wind up costing you more later. Regards, J.L.
