WC Allis rear rim oddity

A friend gave me a rear rim from a styled WC, complete with a standard Allis cast wheel. Every other 28" WC rim I have ever seen has six little ridges stamped in it for the clamps to seat on when the rim is bolted to the wheel. In lieu of this, my rim has a continuous bead stamped all the way around it. Has anyone else ever seen one like this? Could it be a rim from some other make of tractor that just happens to fit an Allis Wheel?

I have a 1937 WC with the rims you talk about on it. It might be a early WC rim.

Question, do the WC front wheels fit gibson tractor model A with 16 inch rear tires?

It sounds like an RC rim to me, if it is, you have a highly sought-after item on your hands.

Thanks for the response, Ken. It never occured to me that a WC and an RC would have different rims. I have a 41 RC that I was going to use the rim on to replace a rusted out one so looks like I have the correct rim for my tractor. Unfortunately the other side has the rim with the six ridges on it so I still won't have a match. Maybe someone replaced both rims long ago.

Thanks for the information, Ed. I've ordered their catalog.
