What is a WD45 worth with a wide front and side mount sickle bar mower. Tractor needs rear tires and wheels, paint, battery box and muffler. Seems to run ok.

You got good info from Lazyhorse. I recently paid $1100 for a WD and that was too much for its condition. The 45 painted up nicely with wide front, new rubber/rims and mower should bring $3500-$4000. Work backwards from that. I put new rubber and power-adj. rims on WD for about $650. New muffler $25. Battery box $60. If you paint and do metal work you can save a lot. I did not use an expensive paint on my WD. I had an estimate of $1500 on blasting and painting. I ended up doing some myself and having fenders, hood and tank done by someone more professional. Looks good now. Incidently, above costs leave you around $1000-$1200 for tractor if metal is good and it runs good.

Prices on most tractors vary widely depending on what part of the country, and condition. Here in east central Indiana, Iv'e seen WD45's go for between $800, and $2500 for a good runnning tracto in decent shape.
