Saw an add for a AC D-16, is there such a thing? If there is what is the hp, wide/narrow front end, 3 point hitch? Any advice would be appreciated.
TIA

Allis made a HD16 in its construction machinery division. It was a bull dozer in the 40,000 pound class. Quite a bit bigger than a D17. Sent a lot of HD11 and HD16 to Nam in the 1960's. Quite a few of the old tractors (1950-1970) are still running around this country also.

I am looking for my Grandfather's old HD16 Bulldozer that was sold to somneone in Louisiana
in 70's. He has passed on and my brother and I would like to buy it back if we could find it.
The serial number is HD1606296
My phone number is: 903-488-3634
We really would love to get this back for a keepsake...

There is no such tractor. It's either a D-10, D-12, D-14, D-15 or D-17. They're all available in tricycle, single front wheel and wide front. Later versions of each one were available with a factory 3-point, but there are adapters available to convert the Snap Coupler system to a 3-point. Also available are aftermarket 3-point hitches.
There is quite a variation in size between the D-10/D-12 and the D-17. Suggest you go take a look at the tractor and find out what it really is. Any of those models can have a place in my shed!

Phil

The D-10/12 were wide front only.
