WC fan belt,thanks for info. and update on size

Thanks for the ideas on getting the length of the fan belt. I finally got the fan belt installed on the WC. I ended up with a 5/8 inch wide "general utility" "V" belt 46 inches long (from Ace Hardware). I would rather have had an "extra service" or "severe service belt", but did not want to order one and wait for delivery. This belt was "tight" and required that the generator be removed in order to get the belt on the pulleys. This was not a problem as the generator was removed to make it easier to replace the lower radiator hose. After installation the belt was at the proper tension with the generator adjusted all the way in toward the tractor (bolt at the end of the slot). I think that this is good as it gives the maximum adjustment to compensate for wear (at least I hope that this is good). I could have made the belt "looser" by changing the spacing on the flanges of the fan pulley, but since the generator was off anyway, I did not think it would be any better. I have had trouble in the past "running out of adjustment" on the fan belt on this tractor, hope this take care of that concern.
