I would like to know how diffacult it will be for me to fix a hydrolic leak?? I have been told by a mechanic the tractor will have to be taken apart into 3 main parts, and that I might as well replace the flywheel while I am at it.The starter grinds sometimes and I have to turn the fan blade to get it off of the bad place. How expensive is the flywheel?
I am not a mechanic but I have done a couple head gaskets, water pumps, starters, radiators and am verry mechanically inclined.sorry I don't have spellchecker

If the ring gear is bad on the flywheel, you can just replace the ring gear instead of the whole flywheel.

Where's the leak? It's probably a broken front seal if you have fluid leaking from the plate that covers your clutch. Fixing it requires removing the engine (which is pretty easy on this tractor - and you'll be able to replace your flywheel at that time) so you can get to the front seal. Get a good manual, and e-mail if you have any more ques
